Taste the most authentic cooking base from Spain made with natural Rockfish, seafood, and vegetables with spices and one rare and unique ingredient – squid ink! Serve up wonderful, fulfilling, healthy, and tasty Arroz Nero black rice paella at home – just add rice, heat and serve! Aneto takes bases to the next level with this incredible blend of their homemade seafood broth, sautéed vegetables, and fish. This creates a wonderful and filling paella base, where all you need to do is add your favorite brand of short-grained rice.
How is this base made? Just like you would make at home! To start, Aneto fries onions, tomatoes, and garlic in extra virgin olive oil over a very low heat to create a sofrito. They then season it with rosemary and a touch of saffron. Next, they add the seafood and the rock fish to the sofrito and continue cooking it gently for over 2 hours, slowly adding in Aneto’s wonderful Seafood Broth. Finally, at the end of cooking, fresh squid ink is added to give the broth its characteristic dark color.
