Learn how to make the classic Italian ice cream, gelato. This fun and delicious workshop take place in a small gelateria in the centre of Rome. You will have the opportunity to select your favorite flavor and turn it into an incredible gelato dessert. Our professional chefs will show you the best techniques and explain every step of the process, from the type of machine used to the proper ratio of ingredients.
Your gelato professional will demonstrate the gelato making process and walk you through making your own. They will go over the three ways, or flavors, of gelato: White Base (Milk cream), Yellow base (Egg), and Fruit base (Fruits).
You will begin by creating the white base flavor then add your selected ingredients to create two other flavors. For example, starting from the white base you can create the stracciatella flavor by adding dark chocolate. Your instructor will be able to help you with any flavor combinations or other questions you may have.
Once the instruction has concluded, you will try your gelato creations and any other gelato flavors in the shop that catch your eye.
