Ramón Peña Yellowfin Tuna is such a far cry from commercial big box store canned tuna that it should be named something other than tuna. This exquisite tuna is also known as ” Thunnus albacares”, one of the most valued and traded types of tuna within the tuna family. The size of these fish can exceed 230 cm in length and 200kg in weight, their flesh is firm and light brown. We recommend: consuming it at room temperature, perfect in a nice butter leaf salad with red onion, tomatoes, and balsamic and olive oil dressing, or on a crostini with a sundried tomato on top, it’s just that good if you want to eat it without adding a bunch of stuff to it.
