Arrive at Alessandro and Gianni’s store second-generation butchers. See their impeccable store. With its original Carrara marble walls and benches. Their classic Berkel Salumi Cutting machines. Meet Alessandro and his family & taste their salumi all made with 100% Italian pork.
Stop into a bookbinder and paper store. Gianni and Michiko integrate six generations of family history. And over twenty years of bookbinding, conservation and crafting of novelty items.
We’ll stop by Jane’s restoration workshop. To take a look at her wooden objects homewares and accessories. As we continue to the historical door of San Frediano we arrive at one of the most traditional food trucks in Florence. If you are game you can try the Lampredotto at Simone La Buticche di’lampredotto. The ‘Trippaio’ the tripe seller is one of the most characteristic street foods of Florence.
Enjoy lunch at Leonardos restaurant. Meet his parents Gianni and Daniela at their butcher’s next door. They have been selling prized meats for over 40 years. The shop is 400 years old!
