Santa Teresa was founded in 1959 through the joined effort of 37 farmers. It was the first olive oil company in Spain to get approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Junta de Andalucía. Quince (or Membrillo) is one of the most beloved fruits in Spain. Harvested in late autumn, this incredibly aromatic product is a staple in any Andalusian kitchen and will, more often than not, be turned into jelly (or carne de membrillo) as a way of preserving it. Quince jams and jellies are the perfect tart spreads, with a mix of sweet and sour flavors not unlike those of apples and pears.
Quince is ideal for meat plates, cheese plates, recipes that call for something sweet, and is also excellent for confectionary use. Organic quince paste by Santa Teresa will pair well with your morning porridge, toast, as well as your favorite sweet vanilla bean ice cream!
