Soft & Chewy Sugar Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1-1/2 granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Candy Melts Candy (any color or a combination of colors)
- Jimmies sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray 13 in. x 9 in. pan with vegetable pan spray.
- In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla.
- Add flour mixture and mix until just combined.
- Stir in 1/2 cup chopped Candy Melts and sprinkles, as desired.
- Press mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle remaining candy and sprinkles over top.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean. Remove to the cooling rack and cool completely.
