KMMR –
I had never had a panettone before this one and it was better than I expected it to be… I am not usually a fan of fruit in my cake but this was really nice. The cake itself has a more bread-like quality, more like a sweetbread, than a cake. The sultanas added sweetness, texture, and brightness. The cream ribbon was sweet when it first hits your palette then a bit tangy on the backend. We also tried it as suggested on the label, warmed with a bit of vanilla ice cream, and it was indeed very very wonderful.
