Frozen Cherry Margarita
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen dark sweet cherries
- 4 ounces silver tequila
- 2 tbsp agave or simple syrup (or more if you like it sweeter)
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
GARNISH & FINISH
- Fresh lime for rimming glasses & garnishing
- 2 tbsp coarse kosher salt or turbinado sugar for rimming glasses
- Fresh cherries for garnishing
Instructions
- Start by preparing your glasses: Add salt or sugar to a small plate. Use a lime wedge to wet the rim of the glass, then turn the glass upside down and place it into the salt or sugar, turning it side to side to coat the rim.
- Add frozen cherries, tequila, agave (or simple syrup), and lime juice to a high-powered blender and blend on high until smooth. Add ice cubes and blend again until smooth, using a blender tamper or wooden spoon to stir if things are getting stuck.
- Pour margarita into the rimmed glasses and garnish with a thin wheel of lime and fresh cherries if desired. Cheers!
