Miz En Place is proud to share that one of our amazing vendors Ronda’s Fine Foods and their delicious Original Romesco Dip/Sauce/Spread has won the new product award in the Salsa & Dips Category as part of the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) 2022 sofi™ Awards, a top honor in the $170.4 billion specialty food industry.
Ronda’s Original Romesco was one of 102 winners selected by a panel of specialty food experts from nearly 2,000 entries across 53 product categories. Products are judged on taste, including flavor, appearance, texture and aroma, ingredient quality, and innovation. All tastings are anonymous and are held at the prestigious Rutgers Food Innovation Center.
“We are thrilled that our Original Romesco has won a New Product Award,” says Ronda Brittian, Co-Founder of Ronda’s Fine Foods and creator of the Original Romesco recipe. “To win the highly competitive new product sofi™ award, and to be recognized by the industry for our commitment to excellence, taste, and quality, is a huge honor. The sofi™ Awards are the ultimate stamp of approval, and we’re very proud to receive the New Product recognition this year.”
With originations in Northern Spain, Ronda’s Original Romesco is a Dip/Sauce/Spread made with the California Almond, Roasted Red Peppers, Tomatoes, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic & Spices. It is a low-carb, all-natural and gluten-free product.
The sofi Awards competition is open annually to members of the Specialty Food Association. The Awards have been given each year since 1972. They recognize extraordinary specialty food and beverage products and the people who create them. Winners will be showcased at the 2022 Summer Fancy Food Show, running June 12-14, at the Javits Center in New York City.
