We all know that pumpkin pie is the main traditionally served after the big Thanksgiving meal dessert… but boring! There are so many other delicious desserts you need to try instead. Seriously. Don’t get us wrong, pumpkin pie is quite tasty but who says that you cannot try out some new dessert recipes now and then… you can always make a pumpkin pie after Thanksgiving is over if someone really HAS to have one in your house… though after tasting one or two of these desserts they may forget all about that other pie.
1.) Pumpkin Pie Cookies
Ok, I know I said forget about pumpkin pie but these cookies are SIMPLY AMAZING! They are everything great about pumpkin pie without the parts that people tend not to like about pumpkin pie. This is a true favorite recipe in my house and I make them all year round. They are soft, tasty, and super easy to make.

2.) Vino Cotto Cherry Pie
Vino Cotto di Montillo is an authentic, naturally-sweet cooked wine gourmet syrup with 0% alcohol and 0% vinegar. Its refined flavor hints of figs and plums, although it’s made from 100% premium wine grapes and nothing else… and it makes this cherry pie simply sing!

3.) Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Rhubarb adds such a tart and yummy flavor to this sweet and buttery pie. Fresh fruit is always the best to use but frozen works just fine too!

4.) Creamy Peanut Butter Cheesecake
Love cheesecake? Love peanut butter? Combined? This recipe is simply divine! Plus, you don’t even have to bake the cheesecake layer. Smooth, creamy, wonderful… and easy.

5.) Oreo Cookie Pie
This recipe is so decadent and delicious. This one is particularly good served warm… like eating a combination fresh baked cookie and fresh baked pie! So chocolaty and buttery and wonderful.

6.) Pecan Pie
Pecan pie is another staple pie this time of year and with good reason… it is warm, comforting, sweet, nutty, and oh so delicious! If you have never had (or made) this amazing pie, give it a try this year. You will be pleasantly surprised.

7.) Alice’s Sulmonese Apple & Cinnamon Cake
This warm apple and cinnamon cake is sure to warm your heart on a chilly winter day… this would make a great after-Thanksgiving dinner dessert or breakfast the next morning!
